[Guidelines for Applying to the Graduate School Academic Festival Idea Contest] 

Hello, this is the 47th Student Council of the CAU Graduate School.

We are pleased to announce the Idea Contest, held together with the 2026 CAU Graduate School FAIR.

Turning the question mark of change into the exclamation point of research.

AI has already entered our labs. What remains undecided is what kind of system and environment we will build around that change. We are waiting for your ideas — ideas that will change graduate education and research.

■ Contest Theme

-        AX-based Idea Contest for Innovating Graduate Education and Research

AX refers to using AI technology to innovate existing methods and systems in research, education, research support, administration, and more. Any proposal that freely applies AI — in any way — to change something about our graduate school is welcome.

Please prepare all three of the following and submit them to the Student Council's email.

1. [Application] Idea Contest Application Form and Participation Pledge (1 copy)

2. [Submission] 3rd CAU Graduate School Academic Festival Idea Contest Submission Form (1 copy)

3. A copy of the student ID card for every participant (a screenshot of the "Edit My Info" page on the CAU portal — including student ID number, affiliation, year, name, and major — is also accepted)

In the submission form, feel free to include the idea's name, background (purpose), problem (current situation/inconvenience), improvement plan (written in detail using photos, graphs, statistics, etc.), expected effects, conclusion, references, and so on.

Please name your file as follows: [Idea]Name_StudentID.

Please submit both the original PPT file and a PDF version of your submission.

If applying as a team, only the team leader (representative) needs to submit on behalf of the team.

■ Judging and Exhibition

Submitted entries will be made into posters and exhibited at the Academic Festival venue. Production and printing will be handled by the Student Council.

All entries will be displayed for the duration of the Academic Festival, and winning entries will be selected based on a combined score of 50% internal judging and 50% on-site voting at the festival.

Judging Criteria

-        Relevance and suitability to the CAU Graduate School

-        Sustainable feasibility and practicality

-        Originality and creativity of the idea

■ Notes

-        Submitted documents and materials will not be returned.

-        Awards may be revoked if an entry has already won another contest or uses someone else's copyrighted work without permission.

-        Entries may be used for exhibition at the Academic Festival and for the Student Council's promotional purposes.

■ Frequently Asked Questions

Q. Can I apply for both the Academic Festival and the Idea Contest? Yes. The two events are run separately, and you are welcome to participate in both.

Q. Can I apply even if I'm not a developer? Yes. Rather than detailed technical explanations, we focus on whether you have accurately identified a problem and proposed a concrete direction for improvement.

Q. Why do I need to submit both PPT and PDF? Because layout adjustments may be needed when printing the poster, we need the original file along with the PDF.

Q. How should a team submit its entry? Please have one team representative submit on behalf of the whole team.

Q. I'd like to confirm that my submission went through properly. Please contact us by email or at our office (02-881-7369), and we will confirm it for you.
